Monthly Subscriptions and Manual Payments

Modified on Wed, 15 Apr at 3:57 PM

All Taurus Challenges, both FREES and PRIME, operate under a monthly subscription model.

The billing cycle is based on the original purchase date of your Challenge and covers a 30-day period.

Example:
If you purchase your Challenge on March 9, your billing cycle will run through April 8. To maintain uninterrupted access to your account, the renewal payment must be completed on or before April 8.

The subscription renewal amount will be 50% of the original Evaluation price, calculated based on the standard price without any discount applied.

How Does the Manual Payment Process Work?

Taurus subscriptions are 100 percent manual. Payments are never charged automatically, and there are no surprise charges.

As your renewal date approaches, you will receive:

  • A notification inside your Dashboard, in the Notifications section, informing you that your account is close to its expiration date.
  • A reminder email sent a few days before the due date, which includes the payment link.

To complete the renewal, simply click the payment link and finalize the payment before the deadline.

We strongly recommend regularly checking the Notifications section inside your Dashboard to ensure you do not miss your renewal date. When checking your email, please also review your spam or junk folder to make sure the reminder message is not filtered there.

What Happens If I Don’t Pay On Time?

If the monthly payment is not completed before the deadline:

  • The account will be automatically deactivated.
  • The deactivation is final and irreversible.
  • It will not be possible to reactivate the account, even if you attempt to pay afterward.

For this reason, staying attentive to your Dashboard notifications and email reminders is essential to maintaining uninterrupted access to your account.

Is My Monthly Subscription a Reset?

No. Paying your monthly subscription does not reset your account, does not restore drawdown, and does not modify your current account status in any way. It only keeps your account active for another 30-day cycle.

If you would like to reset your account, you must follow the instructions in the following article:

Subscription vs Reset: Important Clarifications

This section is especially important, as there is often confusion between renewing a subscription and purchasing a reset.

Scenario 1: Your account has been disqualified after reaching the maximum drawdown

If your account reached the maximum drawdown and was disqualified, the available options are:

  • Purchase a Reset
  • Take advantage of current promotions and purchase a new Challenge account

Evaluation Account Reset – $85

If an Evaluation Account is disqualified due to a rule violation, it can be reactivated for only $85. This reset allows you to restart your evaluation.

It is important to note that the reset only brings the account balance back to zero. It does not change the monthly subscription date, as the 30-day period continues from the original purchase date.

The reset is an ideal option to use when the account has been disqualified and there is still enough time before the next subscription renewal. This allows you to take advantage of the remaining period to complete the evaluation, considering that the renewal date remains unchanged from the original purchase.

It is also important to clarify that if your account has been disqualified and you do not purchase a reset, you do not need to worry about the subscription renewal, as the account will not be renewed once it is inactive. This consideration only applies if you decide to continue using the same account through a reset.

Scenario 2: Your account is active and close to passing

If your account is active and you are progressing well toward the profit target, paying the monthly subscription allows you to continue trading and complete the Evaluation.

The subscription simply extends access to the account. It does not modify your balance, your drawdown level, or your trading history.

Scenario 3: Your account is active but very close to the maximum drawdown

If your account is active but very close to reaching the maximum drawdown limit, it is important to understand the following:

  • Paying the monthly subscription does not increase your drawdown limit and does not provide additional margin.
  • You will continue trading with the exact same remaining drawdown available before making the payment.

In this situation, traders sometimes prefer to:

  • Take advantage of available promotions and start a new Challenge

Profit Account (PA) Reset

Profit Accounts can also be reset. In this case, the PA Reset is an add-on that must be purchased before activating the account. This is a preventive measure that provides a reset option in case of a violation while managing your account.

Unlike Evaluation Accounts, there is no need to consider subscription dates, as Profit Accounts do not have a monthly fee.

Understanding the difference between a subscription renewal and a reset helps you make the best strategic decision for your trading plan.
