How Do Payouts Work for FREES Accounts?

Modified on Mon, 8 Dec at 8:18 PM

We have updated and improved the payout conditions for Frees accounts to help traders withdraw faster and more smoothly. These changes were designed specifically to support traders’ growth and make the payout process more flexible, including the ability to withdraw a portion of the Safety Threshold (cushion) while still protecting account stability. This article includes everything you need to know to plan and organize your payouts with confidence, including first-payout requirements, ongoing payout conditions, consistency settings, safety thresholds, and payout limits.

These conditions apply only to Frees accounts purchased between December 8 and December 31, 2025. Accounts bought starting January 1, 2026 will return to the previous withdrawal conditions.

First Payout Requirements (One-Time Only)

For your first payout request, the following requirements apply:

  • Complete the Safety Threshold (cushion).
You must reach your account’s Safety Threshold. Once this cushion is completed, the most important step is done, you now have eligible profits available for withdrawal, and the maximum per request can be taken even from within the cushion. Please note that you can only request the payout after also meeting all the first-payout rules.

Example (50K Frees): the Safety Threshold is $3,000. Once your account reaches that cushion and you have already completed the required trading days, you may request a payout of up to $1,500 (the maximum per request). Even though that amount comes from the cushion, the new rule allows withdrawals from within the Safety Threshold. After withdrawing $1,500, the account would remain at $51,500, leaving a solid buffer so you can continue trading comfortably without needing to close or reset your account.

Note: Payouts cannot be requested before reaching the Safety Threshold.

  • Minimum 8 trading days.
This one-time requirement ensures sufficient trading activity before a withdrawal is requested.

  • At least 5 positive days, each with $150 or more profit, as already implemented.

  • Flipping allowed only to complete the 8 days:
    • If you already achieved 5 positive trading days, you are permitted to use up to 2 flipping days (placing a low-risk trade to validate a trading day) to complete the required 8 days.
    • Flipping does not replace positive days; it only helps meet the total trading-day requirement.

  • Consistency Rule
  • Evaluations have no consistency rule. Consistency applies only once you reach a Profit Account (PA).
  • For PAs coming from Frees accounts, the consistency rule is automatically set to 30 percent.
  • Because this rule is auto-applied, the Consistency Increase add-on is not available for Frees PAs.

Requirements From the Second Payout Onward

Starting from the second payout request, traders must meet the following conditions in addition to all general rules:

  • Minimum 5 positive days, each with $150 or more profit.
From the second payout onward, traders no longer need to wait for 8 total trading days, but they must still complete at least five positive days over $150.

  • Safety Threshold must be re-reached if it was used in the previous payout.
If your last withdrawal reduced your balance below the Safety Threshold, you must rebuild the account back above the threshold before requesting the next payout. Once the cushion is completed again and you have the required positive trading days mentioned above, you can request another payout, including withdrawals from within the cushion (Safety Threshold). This option remains available for every payout you choose to make, as long as you stay within the maximum per request.

  • New profits requirement (when you still had profits above the Safety Threshold after your last payout):
This rule applies to traders who earned significantly more than the Safety Threshold, and therefore still had profits above the threshold after their previous withdrawal.

In these cases, for the next payout request:

    • You must complete 5 positive trading days, each with $150 or more profit.
    • At least 50 percent of the requested payout must come from new profits generated during those 5 positive days.

Example 50K Frees:

This is an example to show how the “new profits” rule works after the first payout.

A trader completes their first withdrawal on a 50K Frees account and the account now shows a balance of $4,500. Since the Safety Threshold for a 50K Frees account is $3,000, the trader still has $1,500 in profits above the cushion after that first payout.

To request another payout, the trader must follow these rules:

  • Complete 5 positive trading days, each with at least $150 profit
  • Ensure that at least 50 percent of the next requested payout comes from new profits generated after the previous withdrawal.

So, if the trader wants to withdraw $1,500 again (the maximum per request), he must generate at least $750 in new profits within those five positive days (or any additional days it may take to reach the target). In practical terms, this means the account must grow from $4,500 to at least $5,250 before a new $1,500 payout can be approved.

These conditions are designed to maintain account stability and encourage consistent growth between payouts.

Minimum and Maximum Payout Limits

Taurus has set minimum and maximum payout limits per account size. These limits apply to Frees and all other account models.

Payout Limits by Account Size

Maximum Payout per Request

Maximum Monthly Payout

25K Account

$500

$1,000

50K Account

$500

$1,500

$3,000

100K Account

$2,000

$4,000

Key conditions:

  • Traders can make multiple payout requests per month as long as each transaction is between $500 and the maximum per request for their account.

  • The total amount withdrawn cannot exceed the monthly maximum.
    • 25K Account: withdrawals from $500 up to $1,000 per request, with a $2,000 monthly limit.
    • 50K Account: withdrawals from $500 up to $1,500 per request, with a $3,000 monthly limit.
    • 100K Account: withdrawals from $500 up to $2,000 per request, with a $4,000 monthly limit.

No Monthly Caps After 4 Months

After 4 consecutive months of withdrawing the maximum amount allowed, traders will no longer be subject to monthly payout caps and can withdraw as much as their account balance allows, while respecting the minimum payout per request.

Profit Split

Profit split remains 85 percent / 15 percent, meaning:

  • 85 percent of profits go to the trader.
  • 15 percent is retained by Taurus.

This split applies from the very first payout, with no scaling or waiting period.
