Transition From a Taurus Profit Account to a Live Account

At Taurus, Profit Accounts allow traders to demonstrate their skills in a simulated environment before potentially transitioning to trading with real capital.

However, our goal is not to keep successful traders in a simulated environment indefinitely. When a trader demonstrates sufficient performance, appropriate risk management, and a profile compatible with real-market trading, the Taurus Risk Team may decide to transition them to a Live Account.

This policy applies to all Taurus products.

Moving to Live represents a major step in the trader’s journey: this is where a genuine collaboration begins, with the interests of both the trader and Taurus directly aligned.

1. When Can I Be Selected to Move to Live?

There is no fixed number of payouts, trading days, or profits that automatically guarantees a transition to Live.

The Taurus Risk Team may select a trader at any time based on their overall profile.

We may consider factors including:

  • historical performance;
  • profitability and consistency;
  • the number and frequency of payouts;
  • the number of trading days;
  • drawdown management;
  • position sizing and consistency;
  • the level of risk used;
  • strategy stability;
  • overall trading behavior;
  • compatibility of the strategy with real-market execution.

A trader may therefore be selected relatively quickly if their history justifies it, while receiving a large number of payouts does not automatically guarantee a move to Live.

When Taurus requires a trader to transition to Live, that transition becomes necessary in order to continue participating in the funded program with the accounts concerned.

2. What Happens to My SIM Profits When I Move to Live?

Profits held in simulated accounts are not automatically converted in full into real capital.

Taurus recognizes a maximum amount of Live capital based on the size of each account:

Account Size

Maximum Recognized Live Capital

Maximum Initial Live Allocation

Maximum Live Reserve

25K

$4,000

$1,200

$2,800

50K

$8,000

$2,400

$5,600

100K

$12,000

$3,600

$8,400

The Initial Live Allocation is the capital that may be made immediately available to begin trading live.

The Taurus Live Reserve is the portion of the Recognized Live Capital that remains conditional and may progressively be added to the trader’s Live capital based on performance generated in real-market conditions.

The initial allocations shown above are maximum amounts. The Taurus Risk Team may decide on a lower initial allocation depending on the trader’s risk profile.

3. Simple Example

A trader with a 100K account moves to Live with sufficient SIM profits to reach the maximum cap.

Their Recognized Live Capital will be:

$12,000

They may start with an Initial Live Allocation of up to:

$3,600

and have a Taurus Live Reserve of:

$8,400

The $8,400 Reserve is therefore not immediately exposed and is not immediately withdrawable.

4. What Happens if My SIM Profits Exceed the Live Cap?

The portion of SIM profits exceeding the Maximum Recognized Live Capital:

  • is not transferred to the Live Account;
  • is no longer eligible for a SIM payout;
  • is cancelled at the time of transition.

However, Taurus pays a Live Transition Bonus equal to 10% of this excess amount, subject to the applicable limits.

For One Account

Account Size

Maximum Bonus

25K

$1,000

50K

$1,500

100K

$2,000

For Multiple Accounts Belonging to the Same Trader

Majority Account Size

Maximum Total Bonus Per Trader

25K

$2,000

50K

$3,000

100K

$4,000

The multi-account bonus is a global cap per trader, not a cap multiplied by the number of accounts.

5. How Does the Bonus Work if I Have Different Account Sizes?

When several account sizes are included in the same transition, Taurus uses the majority account size to determine the overall Live Transition Bonus cap.

Example:

  • 1 × 25K account
  • 3 × 50K accounts
  • 1 × 100K account

Since the majority of the accounts are 50K accounts, the total bonus cap is:

$3,000

If there is a tie between different account sizes, Taurus uses the lower account size among the tied categories.

Example:

  • 2 × 50K accounts
  • 2 × 100K accounts

The applicable cap will therefore be the 50K cap:

$3,000

6. Live Transition Bonus Example

A trader has a 100K account with:

$30,000 in SIM profits

The Maximum Recognized Live Capital is:

$12,000

The excess amount is therefore:

$18,000

The bonus is:

10% × $18,000 = $1,800

The trader therefore receives:

$1,800 as a Live Transition Bonus

The remaining $16,200 is cancelled and is no longer eligible for payout.

If the calculated bonus exceeded $2,000, the 100K single-account cap would limit the bonus to $2,000.

7. What Is the Taurus Live Reserve?

The Taurus Live Reserve allows the trader’s capital to increase progressively once they demonstrate that they can reproduce their SIM performance under real-market conditions.

The Reserve:

  • is not immediately available;
  • is not a payout;
  • does not automatically belong to the trader;
  • must be released through Live performance;
  • remains subject to Taurus risk-management requirements.

The fact that an amount appears in the Live Reserve therefore means that it may become available in the future, not that it already belongs to the trader.

8. How Do I Unlock the Live Reserve?

Before the first release, two conditions must both be met:

10 profitable Live trading days

AND

$10,000 in cumulative net Live profits

Once both conditions have been met, up to:

$5,000 of Live Reserve

may be released, subject to the amount of Reserve actually available.

After that:

every additional +$10,000 in cumulative net Live profits

allows up to:

+$5,000 of additional Live Reserve

to be released until the Reserve is fully exhausted.

9. Can I Withdraw the Profits Used to Unlock the Reserve?

Yes.

At Taurus, the profits used to reach a Live Reserve release threshold remain genuine Live trading profits and may be withdrawn by the trader according to the applicable profit split.

They do not need to remain locked in the account in order for the trader to retain credit for the performance threshold already achieved.

Therefore, when a trader reaches:

10 profitable trading days + $10,000 in cumulative net Live profits

they may:

  1. become eligible to have up to $5,000 of Live Reserve released;
  2. request a withdrawal of their eligible Live profits under the normal payout rules.

Withdrawing the profits that were used to reach the threshold does not cancel the Reserve release already earned.

Example

A 100K trader starts with:

$3,600 Initial Live Allocation

and:

$8,400 Live Reserve

They generate $10,000 in Live profits and complete 10 profitable trading days.

They become eligible for:

$5,000 of released Reserve

The trader may then withdraw all or part of their eligible $10,000 in profits, subject to the applicable profit split and payout rules.

The $5,000 released from the Reserve then strengthens the trader’s Live capital.

The trader must subsequently generate another $10,000 in cumulative net Live profits to unlock the next portion of the Reserve.

The thresholds are therefore based on cumulative Live performance achieved, not on the amount of profit physically remaining in the account.

10. Examples by Account Size

25K

Maximum Reserve:

$2,800

At 10 profitable days + $10,000 in Live profits:

the full $2,800 may be released.

50K

Maximum Reserve:

$5,600

At 10 profitable days + $10,000 in Live profits:

$5,000 may be released.

After an additional $10,000 in profits:

the remaining $600 may be released.

100K

Maximum Reserve:

$8,400

At 10 profitable days + $10,000 in Live profits:

$5,000 may be released.

At $20,000 in cumulative Live profits:

the remaining $3,400 may be released.

11. Is the Reserve Release Automatic?

No.

Reaching the thresholds makes the trader eligible for release, but the Taurus Risk Team may still review factors including:

  • drawdown;
  • daily losses;
  • position sizing;
  • changes in risk exposure;
  • consistency of performance;
  • margin requirements;
  • compliance with Live Account parameters.

A Reserve release may be delayed if the profits were generated using a level of risk considered excessive.

12. When Does Released Live Reserve Become Withdrawable?

Releasing the Reserve and withdrawing it are two separate stages.

For an amount from the Taurus Live Reserve to become eligible for withdrawal:

  1. it must first have been released through the required Live performance;
  2. the trader must have completed at least 60 days of actual Live trading from the opening of the Live Account;
  3. the trader must have maintained genuine, regular, and consistent trading activity throughout that period.

The 60-day requirement is therefore not simply a passive waiting period.

A trader cannot voluntarily stop trading for 60 days solely to protect their capital and then withdraw the Reserve without continuing to participate meaningfully in the Live program.

Taurus will verify that the trader’s activity remains consistent with their normal trading rhythm and with the history that supported their transition to Live.

A prolonged period of inactivity or an artificial and significant reduction in trading activity may delay the Reserve’s eligibility for withdrawal.

13. What Happens if I Lose My Live Account Before Unlocking the Entire Reserve?

The unreleased portion of the Taurus Live Reserve does not belong to the trader.

If the trader loses or permanently breaches their Live Account before the full Reserve has been released:

any remaining unreleased Reserve is cancelled.

It:

  • is not payable;
  • is not withdrawable;
  • cannot be included in a payout;
  • does not represent a liability owed by Taurus to the trader.

Example

The trader has:

$8,400 in Live Reserve

They have successfully released:

$5,000

There is therefore:

$3,400 of unreleased Reserve remaining

If the Live Account is subsequently lost permanently, the:

remaining $3,400 is cancelled.

If no portion of the Reserve had yet been released when the account was lost, the entire Reserve would be cancelled.

14. How Do Payouts Work on a Live Account?

Taurus Live Accounts benefit from a different payout structure than SIM accounts.

Daily Payouts

Live traders may request daily payouts whenever eligible profits are available.

No Daily Maximum

There is no maximum payout amount per day.

The trader may request withdrawal of all eligible profits above the minimum capital that must remain in the account.

Minimum Withdrawal

The minimum Live payout amount is:

$500

Profit Split

Eligible profits are split as follows:

85% to the trader

15% to Taurus

No Consistency Rule

Live traders are subject to no Consistency rule regarding the distribution of their profits.

This means that a large profitable trading day does not automatically prevent the trader from requesting a payout.

15. What Capital Must Remain in the Account?

During the Live collaboration, the trader cannot withdraw the minimum capital required for the operation of the account.

Normal payouts therefore apply to amounts available above the protected capital or minimum allocation required for the account.

This ensures that sufficient capital remains available to continue trading in real-market conditions.

However, a separate rule applies to long-term Live collaborations.

16. Can I Withdraw the Entire Account Balance and End the Collaboration?

Yes, after 12 months of Live collaboration.

Once a trader has collaborated with Taurus in Live for at least:

12 months

and wishes to end the collaboration, they may request withdrawal of the entire eligible balance available in their Live Account, including capital that would normally be required to remain in the account during the collaboration.

The Live Account is then closed as part of the end of the relationship with Taurus.

This option is designed for traders who wish to properly conclude a long-term Live collaboration and recover all funds that have become eligible under their agreement.

17. What Are the Benefits of a Taurus Live Account?

Moving to Live should not be viewed as a restriction. On the contrary, it marks the beginning of a different relationship between Taurus and the trader.

Once Live, the trader benefits from:

  • real capital;
  • Daily Payouts;
  • no daily withdrawal maximum;
  • a minimum payout of $500;
  • an 85% trader / 15% Taurus profit split;
  • no Consistency rule on profits;
  • progressive capital increases through the Live Reserve;
  • the opportunity to build a personalized long-term relationship with Taurus.

18. A True Win-Win Relationship

The Taurus Live program is not limited to simply providing real capital.

Taurus may implement, for successful Live traders:

  • specific conditions;
  • personalized agreements;
  • milestone-based bonuses;
  • capital increases;
  • adjustments to risk parameters;
  • performance-based incentives;
  • other benefits designed to support the trader’s long-term success.

Our goal is to place Live traders in the most favorable conditions possible to help them remain profitable over the long term.

The move to Live is where the true win-win collaboration between Taurus and the trader begins.

When a trader generates real profits sustainably and with sound risk management, Taurus has every reason to support them, progressively increase the opportunities available to them, and create new incentives.

19. What Happens if Several of My Accounts Move to Live?

Each account involved may qualify for its own Recognized Live Capital based on its size.

There is no additional global cap that automatically reduces the Recognized Live Capital when multiple accounts transition at the same time.

Example with 5 × 100K accounts, each reaching the maximum cap:

Recognized Live Capital:

5 × $12,000 = $60,000

Maximum Initial Live Allocation:

5 × $3,600 = $18,000

Maximum Live Reserve:

5 × $8,400 = $42,000

The Risk Team may nevertheless reduce the initial exposure based on the trader’s overall profile.

Taurus may also organize or consolidate the Live Accounts in the manner considered most appropriate from an operational and risk-management perspective.

When several accounts are consolidated into one Live structure, the performance used to unlock the Reserve may be assessed based on the trader’s consolidated Live performance.

20. What Happens to My Other SIM Accounts When I Move to Live?

When a trader transitions to Live, Taurus reviews all existing Profit Accounts.

Accounts that have already received at least one payout may be included in the Live transition.

Accounts that have not yet received any payout may remain in SIM and continue to be traded under their usual rules.

However, once a trader participates in the Live program, they may no longer purchase new Challenges or Direct Profit Accounts for as long as they remain in the Live program.

21. What Happens When a Remaining SIM Account Becomes Eligible for a Payout?

If a trader who is already Live still has a SIM account and that account reaches the conditions for a first payout, that payout is not paid directly to the trader in cash.

Instead, the amount is allocated toward developing the trader’s Live structure.

Depending on the amount available and the decision of the Taurus Risk Team, it may be used in one of two ways.

Option 1 — Opening a New Live Account

If the amount is sufficient and the Risk Team considers a new Live Account appropriate, it may contribute to opening and funding a new real-money account.

Option 2 — Strengthening an Existing Live Account

The amount may be added to the trader’s Live Reserve in order to increase the capital potential of one of their existing Live Accounts.

Any amount added to the Reserve will then follow the same release and withdrawal eligibility conditions as the rest of the Taurus Live Reserve.

This means that once a trader has transitioned to Live, performance generated on their remaining SIM accounts progressively helps develop their real capital, rather than maintaining a parallel SIM payout system.

22. Example of a Transition With Multiple Accounts

A trader has:

  • Account A: several payouts already received;
  • Account B: one payout already received;
  • Account C: no payout yet.

When transitioning to Live:

Accounts A and B may be included in the Live transition.

Account C may remain in SIM.

Later, Account C reaches the conditions for a first payout of:

$2,000

These $2,000 are not paid directly to the trader.

Taurus may decide to:

  • use them to contribute toward a new Live allocation;
  • or add them to the Live Reserve of an existing Live Account.

The trader therefore progressively converts the results of their remaining SIM accounts into real trading capital and opportunities.

SIM Profit Above the Cap

10% paid as a Live Transition Bonus, subject to a maximum.

For one account:

  • 25K → $1,000
  • 50K → $1,500
  • 100K → $2,000

For multiple accounts per trader:

  • majority 25K → $2,000
  • majority 50K → $3,000
  • majority 100K → $4,000

If there is a tie between multiple account sizes, the lower account size is used.

Reserve Release

First release:

10 profitable days + $10,000 in cumulative net Live profits

→ up to $5,000 of Reserve released

Then:

each additional +$10,000 in cumulative Live profits

→ up to +$5,000 additional Reserve

The profits used to reach a threshold may be withdrawn under the normal account rules. Withdrawing those profits does not cancel the threshold already achieved.

Reserve Withdrawal

The Reserve must:

  • have already been released;
  • be associated with at least 60 days of actual Live trading;
  • have been accompanied by genuine and regular trading activity during that period;
  • comply with all other conditions of the Live program.

Live Payouts

  • Daily Payouts
  • no daily maximum
  • minimum: $500
  • profit split: 85% trader / 15% Taurus
  • no Consistency rule on profits
  • eligible profits above the required minimum capital may be withdrawn.

Voluntary End of Collaboration

After at least 12 months of Live collaboration, a trader who wishes to end their relationship with Taurus may request withdrawal of the entire eligible available balance, and then close the Live Account in accordance with the applicable agreement.

24. The Principle Behind the Taurus Live Program

Moving to Live is not simply a conversion of a SIM balance into real money.

It represents the next stage of the trader’s journey:

Prove yourself in SIM

→ Be selected by the Risk Team

→ Access real capital

→ Receive an Initial Live Allocation

→ Generate genuine profits in the market

→ Withdraw profits without losing Reserve milestones already achieved

→ Progressively unlock the Taurus Live Reserve

→ Benefit from Daily Payouts with no daily cap and an 85/15 profit split

→ Progressively increase capital and opportunities

→ Build a genuine long-term collaboration with Taurus

A trader who succeeds in Live is no longer simply a user of the Taurus program: they become a trader with whom Taurus has a direct interest in building a lasting relationship.

The more a trader demonstrates the ability to generate real profits with strong risk management, the more Taurus can develop allocations, bonuses, agreements, and incentives tailored to their performance.
